Specially skilled to shoot, he obtained his shooting skills when he joined the PKBM during his school days and won two shooting medals for rifle and pistol category respectively. Not new to secured environment as he was born to a prison officer father and was brought up in the prison officer training centre in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia.

He pursued his studies in the discipline of law and acquired LLB (Hons.) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia before he served Messrs. R.K. Nathan & Co, one of the prominent law firms in the country before pursuing with his own practice under the style of Messrs. Hasif Zubairy & Co., concentrating mostly on medico legal as well as criminal cases.

He is one of the co-founders of Real Rewards, the largest loyalty program in Malaysia at the time before he established ITer Niaga Sdn Bhd, an IT company concentrating on high-end IT security provision as well as high-end IT security gadgets and equipments, he is also an expert in Maritime Security being amongst the pioneer in the industry, a business which is the major concentration of Ratusan Paksi Security Sdn Bhd.
